Zucchini Pizza

I like to make easy appetizers for the weekly football game, but I’m trying to mix things up a bit this season. I am also currently trying to stay away from processed foods, which is not an easy feat.

I stumbled across this simple and delicious recipe that has only 3 ingredients. It’s carb friendly and much healthier than your standard helping of nachos or slice of za.

What You’ll Need:

2 large zucchini’s, sliced

1 jar of pizza sauce

2 cups of mozzarella cheese

Place the zucchini slices on a baking sheet. With a spoon, put a dollop of sauce on top, then cover with cheese. Put in the oven for 20 minutes on 350 degrees.

They looked better before everyone started eating them!

They were a hit! Even my husband loved them. We didn’t miss the pizza crust at all.

I swear.

Do you have any easy, simple appetizer recipes to share? Let us know in the comments and we’ll feature them in a future post!

  1. Those sound great! One of my favorite easy go-to recipes for a gathering is Chicken Dip. You mix one brick of softened cream cheese with a can of chicken breast, well drained and broken up, and whatever seasoning you like. Beat it half to death and serve with sturdy crackers.

  2. That sounds yum. I have one.
    hot not dogs..
    marinade. 1/2 cup water,
    Tablespoon soy sauce.
    Tablespoon liquid smoke.
    teaspoon sesame oil.
(you can add garlic, ginger, cummin. any flavor that floats your boat)

cut 6 small carrots into hot dog shapes by trimming ends.
boil carrots until done but firm.
marinate for 3 hours in fridge.
Spray non stick pan with olive oil spray.
    Heat and brown
Serve with mustard and ketchup and wrap in lettuce leaf.
Or in a not dog bun.
or cut into size of small not dogs and serve with toothpicks sticking out of them.
